2 brothers electrocuted to death

BACOLOD CITY – Two brothers conducting electrical work were fatally electrocuted in a restaurant in Barangay Pedro, Binalbagan, Negros Occidental on Monday, June 2.
Police identified the fatalities as Dexter, 45, and his older brother Roilan, 48, both residents of Barangay Santo Rosario, Binalbagan.

Police Major Jun Ray Batadlan, Binalbagan police chief, said Dexter was fixing a wire when he touched the post of a canopy attached to an open wire.
Dexter was electrocuted and fell to the ground. Roilan tried to help him but he was also electrocuted.
They were taken to a hospital where they declared dead.
Batadlan said that the restaurant hired Roilan and his younger brother was assisting him.
Roilan was not a licensed electrician and only experienced in electrical works, police said.
