The ash emission, recorded between 1:38 p.m. and 2:07 p.m., produced plumes that drifted westward.
Phivolcs maintained Alert Level 3 over Kanlaon Volcano due to continuous increased volcanic unrest with possible hazardous eruptions.
The agency reiterated that entry into the six-kilometer danger zone is strictly prohibited due to the risk of sudden explosions.
Authorities also advised residents to stay indoors during ashfall events, keep windows and doors closed, and wear face masks or use damp cloths to minimize health risks.
