Frustrated murder raps filed vs gunman of village dad

ZAMBOANGA CITY – Police have filed frustrated murder charges against the suspect in the shooting of barangay councilor Jake Fabian here recently.

CORTEZ

Zamboanga City Police Office Assistant Director for Operations Police Lt. Col. Paul Andrew Cortez identified the suspect as a certain Alvin.

Cortez withheld his full name so as not to jeopardize the arrest of the suspect who remains at large.

He said that personal grudge was behind the incident which nearly killed the victim.

Fabian was shot by one of two motorcycle riding gunmen in Barangay Tumaga last May 18.

He sustained four bullet wounds and was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Fabian survived the attack and is recuperating.
