Mayor-elect April Aguilar said the 3,576 pre-kindergarten students were awarded certificates of completion during the mass recognition and awarding ceremony held at the Aguilar Sports Complex in Barangay Pilar, Las Piñas City.
Aguilar said the program, implemented through the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), follows the National Early Learning Curriculum prescribed by the ECCD Council.
She also said it focuses on essential areas such as health and physical development, language and cognitive skills, social-emotional learning, and values formation.
The mayor-elect also stated that the ECCD program is implemented in barangay-based Child Development Centers through structured and play-based learning activities designed to prepare children for entry into formal schooling.
Aguilar added that the award reflects the city’s ongoing investment in early education and child welfare.
