Septuagenarian farmer hacked dead by neighbor

PAGBILAO, Quezon – A 71-year-old farmer was hacked dead by a fellow farmer due to old grudge in Sitio Iskol, Barangay Ibabang Polo, this town, on Friday afternoon, May 30.
Police identified the victim as Rogel.
Investigation said Rogel was walking alone near a river when the suspect Nemesio appeared and hacked him several times with a bladed weapon.
Rogel was taken to a hospital where he died of his wounds.
Nemesio escaped towards the direction of Padre Burgos, Quezon with the murder weapon.
The victim and the suspect were neighbors and engaged in a dispute being heard by the barangay.
Nemesio faces a murder charge.
