House Deputy Minority Leader ACT Teachers Party-list Rep. France Castro told Vice President Sara Duterte to "face her impeachment charges squarely" as part of her birthday message-slash-advice to the latter.
The militant solon said the Vice President should drop all her diversionary tactics and simply face the music regarding her impeachment.
"Instead of celebrating with more lies and political theatrics, VP Duterte should use this occasion to reflect on her actions and face the impeachment charges squarely. The Filipino people deserve transparency, not squid tactics," Castro said on Saturday, May 31.
According to Castro, the Vice President's continued evasion and spreading of disinformation only further erodes public trust.
"On her birthday, we challenge VP Duterte to choose truth over deception, accountability over evasion. The impeachment process is constitutional and legitimate - she should respect it instead of undermining it with her desperate antics," the outgoing lawmaker concluded.
The impeached Duterte is celebrating her 47th birthday.
