The Falcons bucked a slow start and then pulled off a stunning comeback in the series opener, setting the tone to the rest of the series which they dominated to set up a rematch against Team Liquid PH for the last Finals berth.
Marco “Super Marco” Requitano shone the brightest for Team Falcons PH, putting together a series-long brilliance highlighted by his performance on the Moskov pick in the opener.
Reaching the power spike in the late game, Super Marco rallied his crew from a huge deficit in the early game after Aurora took down all of their outer turrets with only 11 minutes going by the contest.
A huge clash that ensued in the Team Falcons' jungle area proved to be the turning point as Aurora, which came a little too deep with its aggression, got punished by the Falcons who hunted down four Aurora players.
Holding a 5 against 3 advantage for the 17-minute Lord dance, Team Falcons secured the major objective and completed a 15-15 comeback win.
Everything simply went the Falcons' way from there as they went on to dominate the next two games.
Executing a more flawless rotation in Game 2, it quickly established a commanding 4k gold lead. Aurora, seemingly in disarray after the Game 1 collapse, simply had no answer to Falcons' aggression as Super Marco scored a triple kill in 12-minute Lord dance to cap the 9-6 win.
Refusing to go down without a fight, Aurora got back to its senses and, just like in Game 1, dictated the early game to take 4k gold lead. Kyle “Kyletzy” Sayson, however, scored a crucial double during the 16th-minute Lord dance.
Falcons secured the big objective anew as they went for the base against only three remaining Aurora players to clinch the series.
