Off-screen, Belle’s passions include fashion and exploring new destinations. Her love for style was recently highlighted with the launch of her second collection with Shein. In a candid interview, she offered a glimpse into her world, sharing what she loves to do when the cameras aren’t rolling.
How do you feel about navigating your acting career from child star to leading lady?
Growing up, I was really into acting. My heart is really here, and I’m so happy that I get to continue doing what I love and share my talent with others. Hopefully, through this, I get to inspire people—to show them that each and every one of us will eventually find what’s meant for us.
When did you start getting into fashion?
Since I was a child. Maarte po kasi akong bata (I’m a finicky/picky child). I’ve always been into dressing up and styling. I remember loving to play with paper dolls when I was a kid. I also enjoyed dressing up my Barbie dolls.
Thanks to my stylist, Adrianne Concepcion, I was inspired to put myself out there and not be afraid to dress how I want. That’s why I’m so happy and honored to partner with Shein and launch my second collection. Through it, I get to express myself through fashion.
Who are your fashion icons?
Zendaya and Princess Diana. But honestly, you can be your own fashion icon.
What’s your fashion rule?
Wear whatever makes you feel confident. I’ll always go with that.
How do you spend your free time?
My free time often involves brunch with my friends—especially my girlfriends. They’re all so stylish, and we love hyping each other up with things like, “Oh, I love what you’re wearing—where’d you get that?” Even on chill days at home, we’ll do brunch, venture out somewhere, or I’ll drop by their place. I also enjoy going out with my dog.
Going out or staying home?
Honestly, it depends. I love traveling, but there are days when I’m just a homebody—and that’s totally fine. I try to take those moments to rest and prioritize self-care. Recently, I went to South Korea before shooting a movie because I wanted to spend some quality time with myself, my friends, and my family.
What are your favorite travel activities?
Styling my OOTDs and taking lots of pictures! I feel like those are things we all love to do. When I went to Korea, I had so many photos saved in my Instagram drafts. I also love immersing myself in the culture—visiting temples and trying out their food.
What’s your tip for girls when it comes to finding confidence through style?
One way is to be more self-aware—know who you are, your strengths, and what you’re capable of. Those are the keys to building real confidence.
What’s next for you?
We’re about to start shooting a family movie. After that, Donnie and I will be working on another film together. I’ve already read the script, and I know a lot of people will relate to it. I’m really looking forward to it and hope everyone watches out for it. I’m also working with World Vision—we’re planning something exciting that’ll be announced soon on social media.
