Mayor-elect April Aguilar said the beneficiaries will be employed for 20 days, earning a daily wage of P645, consistent with the current minimum wage in Metro Manila.
Prior to deployment, the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) conducted an orientation at the City Hall Multipurpose Building to brief participants on their roles, safety protocols, and terms of employment under the program.
Aguilar, who attended the orientation, expressed her full support for the program and thanked the beneficiaries for their participation.
She also underscored the city’s commitment to providing accessible livelihood opportunities for vulnerable sectors.
The mayor said that the program was implemented in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), in coordination with the Public Employment Service Office (PESO), to support residents facing employment challenges.
She added that DOLE’s TUPAD program serves as a key tool in addressing unemployment and offering immediate work opportunities for Las Piñeros.
