The Office of the Vice President (OVP) shared photos of Duterte’s arrival in the airport together with her mother, Elizabeth Zimmerman.
Donning a black jacket and pants, the Vice President was seen being accompanied by her mother as she purchased train tickets from a machine.
On Facebook, Senator Imee Marcos shared a photo with the Vice President.
“Hindi kalamigan basta’t kasama ang Kaibigan. Touchdown (The cold is bearable as long as you’re with a friend. Touchdown [Netherlands flag]),” she wrote.
Marcos was also with Duterte in Doha, Qatar earlier when she met with the Filipino community there.
The Vice President has earlier promised her father, who is currently detained at the Scheveningen Prison in The Hague, that she will visit him with her mother on her birthday.
Duterte will turn 47 on May 31, with the OVP sharing that she is scheduled to meet with her father on May 30 and June 2 to 3.
On her actual birthday, Duterte will attend a gathering of Filipino community outside the detention facility in The Hague.
It is not clear if the presidential sister will accompany her in these scheduled meetings.
The Vice President earlier shared that their family has decided that a kin of the former president would always need to be present in The Hague to attend to his needs.
While she, sister Veronica, and brother Paulo have previously visited the elder Duterte, they have made no mention of who among the Duterte clan is currently in The Hague to look after the former chief executive.
Duterte’s short visit to The Hague will end on June 4, when she’s set to return to the Philippines.
