The chief information officer of the Philippine National Police (PNP) will be donning his first star following the approval of his promotion and that of 10 other police officials.
From the rank of Police Colonel, it will now be Police Brig. Gen. Randulf T. Tuaño based on a memorandum which also named 10 police officials who were promoted to the next rank.
A member of the PNP Academy Class 1995, Tuaño was named as head of the Public Information Office (PIO) in January this year.
Among his previous assignments were chief of police of General Mariano Alvarez in Cavite and deputy director for Administration of the Finance Service.
The following police officials were also promoted to the rank of Police Colonel: Vicente Oligario Amante, Jeffrey Bonaobra Bilaro, Cheryl Paler Yatar, Mark Anthony Melmida Andrade and Regina Narag Basco.
Also promoted to the same rank were James Mejorada Dime, Christel Marie Calumpit Nobleza, Benjamin Aguirre Cruto, Jr., Eric Reyes De Venancio and Roger Ubongen Mangaoang.
