Not just 1 but 3 people use storm drain as shelter — Makati PNP

The Makati City Police revealed that aside from the woman spotted emerging from a storm drain in Makati City that made rounds on social media, three other street dwellers were also seen using the hole as temporary shelter.
According to the police, CCTV footage taken near the storm drain located at the corner of V.A. Rufino and Adelantado Streets in Barangay San Lorenzo on May 26, showed three individuals entering the hole in quick succession.
"Base po sa initial na investigation, sila po ay mga street dwellers sa Barangay Pio Del Pilar. Pansamantala po ay nag-seek sila ng temporary shelter po or refuge doon sa area (Based on the initial investigation, they are street dwellers in Barangay Pio Del Pilar who sought temporary shelter or refuge in the area)," Makati City Police spokesperson Capt. Jenibeth Artista said.
The police are also looking into the possibility of the individuals being involved in criminal activity after recovering various tools inside the hole including a screwdriver, pliers, a wrench, and other metal objects.
The storm drain is also connected to another drainage system along Amorsolo Street, which the street dwellers could use as another route.
Following the discovery of street dwellers living inside the storm drain, officials from the Department of Social Welfare and Development's (DSWD) Pag-abot Program tasked with extending help to street dwellers and informal settlers inspected the area to locate the individuals to assist them.
Hole closed
After the incident, the police coordinated with the Makati Commercial Estate Association to inspect the canal and close the hole.
"The Makati Police Station immediately coordinated with Makati Commercial Estate Association and immediately checked that said canal and installed a metal cover to the said opening to avoid the same incident,” the police report stated.
The Makati Public Safety Department has also been directed to monitor the area closely.
