"Declined yung resignation niyan (His resignation was declined)," Bersamin said, referring to the DOJ chief.
"Declined din (That was also declined)," he also said, pertaining to the courtesy resignation of the DILG secretary.
The Remullas were among the five officials who were responsible in the implementation of the warrant of arrest issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC) against Duterte, which was coursed through the Interpol.
PNP Criminal Investigation and Detection Group chief Nicolas Torre III, who led the arrest operation, was also appointed as the new PNP chief.
Defense chief stays; no info yet on security adviser
The Executive Secretary disclosed that the resignation of Department of Defense (DND) Secretary Gilberto Teodoro has also been declined by the President.
"Yeah, yeah, definitely declined na 'yan (that was declined)," Bersamin said.
Asked whether the President also decided to retain National Security Adviser Eduardo Año, Bersamin said he cannot confirm it yet.
"I do not know yet because that is a personal thing for the President, security adviser 'yan. Actually that resignation was not coursed through me because they have personal thing diyan kung ayaw ni Presidente tanggapin (if the President does not want to accept), it's up to them," Bersamin said.
