Furne One, the Dubai-based visionary behind Amato Couture, brought his signature opulence to the grand finale of Weddings by Crimson—a bespoke celebration of love, artistry, and elevated romance. Held on May 8, 2025, at Crimson Resort and Spa Mactan in Cebu, the showcase unveiled 64 ethereal looks from his Resort Wedding 2025 collection. Each piece, rendered entirely in white, was a masterclass in maximalist couture and a tribute to the designer’s Filipino roots.

Crimson Resort and Spa Mactan found a kindred spirit in Amato Couture. “We chose to collaborate with Furne Amato because, like Crimson, he is a Filipino icon on the global stage,” said Patrick Manthe, general manager of the resort. “His exquisite designs mirror the sophistication and individuality we bring to every wedding. Together, we celebrate love with world-class flair rooted in local pride.”
It was a collaboration grounded in shared values—Filipino pride, global ambition, and a deep reverence for craft. Crimson, a homegrown hospitality brand known for pushing boundaries, and Furne, a Cebuano creative who dresses global icons and royalty, came together to create something transcendent and unmistakably Filipino.

Themed “Take Me to the Sea,” the collection drew from Cebu’s rich maritime spirit. The resort's ballroom was transformed into a coastal reverie, complete with sand, fencing, and foliage. Models glided through the dreamlike setting in gowns cinched at the waist, swimsuits with dramatic capes, caftans, honeycomb textures, and fish scale-like embellishments. Pearls—a nod to both the sea and Filipino heritage—anchored the accessories, while warrior-like gladiator sandals, coral and starfish motifs, and baroque pearl earrings completed the looks.
“For me, the sea is white,” said Furne. “That’s the inspiration. The collection embraces all shapes and sizes, designed with inclusivity in mind. It’s a mix of fabrics and textures—lace, silk, tulle, linen, crystal mesh, crochet, and macramé—all unified in white.”
A closer look revealed delicate tinges of coral hues, silver iridescence, and bioluminescent tones. Beauty looks featured silver-winged eyeliner and braided hair laced with metallic threads. For men, sheer tops embroidered with coral patterns, swim trunks, and robes were styled with surrealist touches—crocheted flowers blooming from faces and sea-inspired details that blurred the line between fantasy and fashion.
True to Amato’s international DNA, the collection was crafted across Dubai and the Philippines, with materials sourced from Dubai, Paris, and Lebanon.
Furne’s presence in Cebu is growing beyond couture. The designer is set to officially launch Café Amato—a lifestyle destination that merges fashion and hospitality. Part café, part showroom, the space will showcase iconic Amato pieces worn by the likes of Beyoncé and Katy Perry, alongside a curated home collection. Though still undergoing final refinements in interiors and menu, the café is already open to the public.
