7 nabbed for stealing elderly's purse in QC

Seven people were arrested for attemping to steal an elderly lady's wallet while she was shopping inside a grocery store in Quezon City on May 25.
Police identified the suspects as alias “Rennie”, 52; alias “Irie”; and alias “Ella”, 33, all residents of Manila; alias “Myrna”, 51, resident of Caloocan, “Antonete”, 40, alias “Ricardo”, 46, both residents of Bulacan; and alias “Richee”, resident of Cavite.
Based on the police report, the 77-year-old woman was busy shopping when the suspects took her wallet containing P2,020, ATM cards, and valid IDs.
The suspects separately dispersed and attempted to leave the store.
However, the store's CCTV cameras captured the incident, prompting the CCTV operator to alert the security personnel, which led to the suspects' arrest.
Charges for theft have been filed against the seven suspects before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office.
