The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) arrested the drivers of the vehicles that figured in a fatal hit-and-run of a 61-year-old woman in Quezon City on May 17.
According to the police report, the first suspect identified as alias “Nomer”, 46, and a resident of Barangay 179, Caloocan City, immediately surrendered at the scene of the incident driving a Mitsubishi Mirage sedan.
He was charged with Reckless Imprudence Resulting in Homicide but he was temporarily released after posting bail on May 23.
The second vehicle involved was identified through forward tracking operations by QCPD and was impounded on May 24 at around 2:15 p.m. after it was subjected to a flash alarm.
The owner of the Toyota Fortuner voluntarily went to the District Traffic Enforcement Unit (DTEU) office for investigations and was identified as alias “Kevin”, a resident of San Mateo Rizal.
He was charged with Reckless Imprudence Resulting in Homicide through a regular filing on May 27, 2025.
Meanwhile, the owner of the black Mitsubishi Xpander was identified as alias “Teody”, a resident of General Emilio Aguinaldo, Quezon City surrendered on May 27.
The vehicle was brought to the DTEU for proper documentation, verification, and thorough investigation.
Teody will face charges for Reckless Imprudence Resulting in Homicide and Violation of Article 275 (Abandonment of Person in Danger) at the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office.
