- Police seized P13.6M worth of shabu in Quezon City.
The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) seized a total of 13,600,000 worth of shabu during a buy-bust operation in San Mateo Road, Barangay Batasan Hills, Quezon City on Tuesday, May 27.
Batasan Police Station 6 (PS 6) Station commander PLTCOL Romil Avenido identified the suspect as alias “Jessie”, 43, and a resident of Antipolo, Rizal.
The operation was conducted at around 9:35 p.m. on Tuesday in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
Based on the police report, the suspect was arrested after a police officer posed as a buyer and successfully bought P800,000 worth shabu from the suspect, which led to his arrest.
Police recovered 2,000 grams of shabu, wallet, cell phone and buy-bust money.
The suspect will face charges for violations of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
