ILOILO CITY – More than a week before his retirement as Philippine National Police (PNP) chief, Gen. Rommel Francisco D. Marbil inaugurated and led the groundbreaking of major infrastructure projects at the Police Regional Office-6 headquarters here.

Marbil joined PRO-6 chief Police Brig. Gen. Jack Wanky during the inauguration of the condominium building in Camp Delgado on Tuesday, May 27.
The five-story building will serve as accommodation for the PRO-6 Command Group and Regional Staff.
A commemorative bust of Gen. Martin B. Delgado, a hero during the Philippine Revolution and the first governor of Iloilo province, was unveiled. The police regional headquarters was named after him.
Marbil also led the groundbreaking for the Heroes Wall that pays tribute and recognition to the ultimate sacrifices of the men and women of the PNP.
The PRO-6 also launched its Technology Oriented Policing (TOP) program, a technology-driven program to boost crime prevention.
