University of the Philippines and University of Santo Tomas are also seeking to grab early leadership in the UAAP group as they take on different sides in this quadruple-header.

The Fighting Maroons eye win no. 2 against University of the East (0-1) at 4 p.m., while the Growling Tigers tackle Adamson (0-1) at 12 p.m.

UP will try to ride the wave of momentum from Rey Remogat’s debut in their 82-74 escape of NU last Monday, while Forthsky Padrigao will be the man to watch for UST as it seeks to claim back-to-back wins after a 75-71 conquest of NU last week.

Emilio Aguinaldo College also begins its preseason campaign against San Sebastian (0-1) in the curtain raiser at 10 a.m.
