ACMobility opens fast DC EV chargers in Makati

Charge in minutes at Corinthian Carpark in Legazpi Village

Published May 28, 2025 07:58 pm
Owners of fully-electric vehicles (EVs) will now be able to fully charge their vehicles within minutes rather than hours at the latest charging station of ACMobility.
The facility houses its most advanced EV charging stations to date, featuring 240 kW SuperFast and 480 kW UltraFast chargers. Installed in partnership with the Makati Commercial Estate Association (MACEA) and Ayala Land, Inc. (ALI), the new high-performance chargers are now operational at the Corinthians Carpark, with the Leviste Carpark set to follow.

“Makati has been one of the leading runners in the country when it comes to sustainability. It is also a bustling business and residential district, which altogether makes it the perfect home for our fastest EV chargers yet,” said Carla Buencamino, Head of Mobility Infrastructure of ACMobility. “With this new offering at the heart of the city, we’re making it easier for more drivers, businesses, families, and communities to access faster and convenient EV charging, right where they need it.”
The nation’s fastest charging experience
The fast chargers are compatible with modern EVs like Kia's EV9 SUV.
The Corinthian Carpark station in Legazpi Village, Makati, features nine DC CCS2 slots, including four 240 kW chargers (each with dual guns) and one 480 kW UltraFast charger — the fastest in the country. These are capable of charging compatible EVs in as little as 10 to 15 minutes, depending on the vehicle battery capacity and charging conditions. Equipped with 1000-amp air-cooled cables, the system is engineered for both efficiency and scalability. The site also includes a dedicated pull-through slot to accommodate larger EVs and mini buses, ensuring optimal access and convenience.
Customers can start charging and monitor the status with the Evro app.
This new station is likewise fully integrated with Evro, ACMobility’s all-in-one EV app that streamlines the user journey — from finding available chargers to initiating sessions, tracking real-time charging status, and making secure, cashless payments. Evro also provides alerts on network updates, promotions, and new station launches, making it the essential tool for every Filipino EV driver.
Power-on-Wheels puts the charger on wheels to come closer to the customer.
Charging is priced at ₱35/kWh, with membership plans offering savings of up to 20%. To complement its fixed charging network, ACMobility also recently deployed Power-on-Wheels (POW) — a fleet of mobile DC fast units that bring charging capabilities to areas across Metro Manila that have limited access to charging infrastructure. Makati, along with the cities of Taguig and Mandaluyong, is one of the initial areas where POW can be accessed. More locations will also come in the future including Muntinlupa, Pasay, Pasig, Manila, San Juan and Quezon City. This ensures access to fast, reliable energy, even in high-demand or areas where permanent infrastructure is still being developed.
The most electrified city
Makati is currently the most electrified city within ACMobility’s network, with 70 active EV charging points across 16 locations — set to grow to 100 charge points across 22 locations by the end of 2025. This is part of ACMobility’s year-end goal of installing more than 700 charge points across the country, further cementing its leadership in clean urban transport and its strategic role in the national charging ecosystem.
More than that, every charging session at the Corinthian Carpark Station is powered by 100% renewable energy through ACMobility’s partnership with ACEN Renewable Energy Solutions (ACEN RES), the Ayala Group’s renewable energy arm. This also marks ACMobility’s first direct partnership with ACEN-RES, paving the way for more collaborative initiatives as it continues to expand its EV network nationwide.
Enabled via the Department of Energy’s Green Energy Option Program (GEOP), this initiative ensures that EV drivers can charge using solar, wind, and geothermal energy, without the need for on-site installations, supporting the national goal of 35% renewables in the energy mix by 2030.
The launch of the Makati EV Charging Network is part of ACMobility’s broader initiative to build the Philippine EV Spine, a comprehensive nationwide network of fast-charging stations that enables EV use at scale. As of May 2025, ACMobility operates over 90 charging locations nationwide, with over 30 additional sites scheduled to go live by June.
“Each new station—whether in a mall, office, condo, or roadside—reinforces the Philippine EV Spine, connecting communities and empowering Filipinos to drive electric, anywhere, anytime. We are building this nationwide backbone of clean transport to make electric mobility seamless, reliable, and truly accessible to all,” added Buencamino.”
