The Yuson Charm: Celebrating vision, passion, and 34 years of design legacy

An intense zest for life and an uncompromising love for what he does keep Fred Yuson going. It’s evidently infectious, given the enthusiasm with which friends and associates trooped to his CWC Interiors 34th Gala, held at the Wack Wack Golf and Country Club. Themed “Designing Legacy, Celebrating Excellence,” the celebration capped off a day that began with Fred’s own golf tournament, joined by friends he has amassed over the years.

As for the gala, it became a reflection of his diverse interests—and that unmistakable “Yuson zest for life.” Two speakers took the stage to thank Fred for his academic scholarship program with De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde. This was followed by a mini-fashion show featuring Mutya ng Pilipinas winners, as Fred is the current holder of the Mutya franchise. A coffee table book was also launched, showcasing the iconic chairs of various high-end furniture brands represented by CWC—each paired with personalities from Fred’s vibrant “galaxy.” A portrait gallery of these figures was also displayed in the Wack Wack function hall.

Fred often reminds us that every dream begins with a dreamer—and that’s his role: to be the one with the vision. He then relies on his team—individuals driven to excel and worthy of his trust—to turn those dreams into reality. For example, together with Cory Quirino, Fred aims to bring Mutya back to its former glory, recognizing how deeply Filipinos cherish their beauty pageants.
