Motorcycle rider dies as SUV hits electric pole in Bulacan

A sport utility vehicle (SUV) crashed into an electric pole, causing it to fall and fatally crush a motorcycle rider on Sunday, May 25, in Sapang Palay, San Jose del Monte, Bulacan. 

Police said the victim, a 24-year-old resident of Camarin, Caloocan City, was struck by the collapsing pole, after the SUV, driven by his uncle, accidentally hit it.

The driver, a resident of Norzagaray, Bulacan, lost control of the vehicle, leading to the tragic accident. 

Rescue teams immediately responded to the scene, but the victim succumbed to serious rib injuries.

Police said the victim's family has agreed not to file charges, as the driver is a relative.
