GOSSIP GIRL: Max Collins on Lovi Poe -- 'A bond beyond the spotlight'

In the vibrant world of show business, friendships often come and go, but today Max Collins, actress and business owner of Vitamin Sea, an air B&B in Boracay, tells us about her enduring friendship with Lovi Poe which stands out as a testament to genuine connection and mutual respect.
Their relationship, forged on set and nurtured off-camera, exemplifies the strength of female camaraderie in an industry frequently characterized by competition.
While sipping her favorite fruit juice, Collins Cleanse, Max tells Gossip Girl about her new project, one that her “ideal bestie” produced.
“I am so proud of Lovi. From a celebrated actress here in the Philippines, she is one of the very few that was able to cut through Hollywood with her independent film 'Bad Man.' Imagine rubbing elbows with Sean William Scott! And now Lovi has evolved and become the producer of C’est Lovi Productions that she shares with her husband Monty Blencowe . I am grateful that she chose me to work with her in C’est Lovi’s first film, 'The Sacrifice.' The cast is amazing! From Lovi Poe to Holywood’s Timothy Granaderos to Philippines' Enchong Dee. Spoiler alert Piolo Pascual has a cameo. So Sorry Lovi, I’m just so excited for everyone to watch our horror thriller. That’s all I will share for now,” Max tells Gossip Girl with a giggle.
Just some side notes for my dear readers, Sean William Scott is Stiffler as in "Stiffler's mom" in "American Pie."
Timothy Granaderos is Montgomery de la Cruz in the famous Netflix teen drama "13 Reasons Why."
And, of course, we all know Enchong Dee especially from his latest film "Gomburza."
And who does not know Papa P!!!
I asked Max, the new business owner of Drip Therapy, how her path with Lovi first intertwined.
She told me, ”Lovi and I worked together in a GMA 7 romantic comedy series 'The One That Got Away' in 2018. We're actually three ladies in that series – Lovi, me and Rhian Ramos. Up to this day we are inseparable. Lovi and Rhian are awesome women who are undeniably perfect. Maganda sila in every way, on cam – off cam – they are definitely my ideal beshies. I have so much fun with them on and off cam."
Their friendship extends beyond the confines of the set. In August 2023, Collins attended Poe's wedding at Cliveden House in England. Sharing moments from the celebration on social media, Collins referred to Poe as a "real-life princess," highlighting the depth of their bond.
Their collaboration continues with the upcoming psychological horror film "The Sacrifice," directed by Prime Cruz and written by Jerrold Tarog. The film features an ensemble cast, including international talents, and delves into the eerie experiences of travel vloggers in a remote village in the Philippines. This project not only marks a significant step in their careers but also reinforces their commitment to supporting each other's artistic journeys.
