Police arrested a newly identified high value drug personality in a buy-bust operation in Taguig on May 23.
Operatives from the Taguig police’s Station Drug Enforcement Unit nabbed alias Catherine, 30, in Barangay Santa Ana at about 11:55 p.m.
The suspect, a resident of Barangay Hagonoy, Taguig, was arrested for violating Republic Act No. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
Seized from the suspect during the operation were 67.1 grams of suspected shabu worth P456,280 and 25 grams of suspected kush valued at P37,500.00 for a total haul of P493,780.
The police also confiscated a marked P500 bill used as buy-bust money, boodle money, drug paraphernalia, and a motorcycle
The suspect was turned over to the Taguig police station for documentation and filing of charges.
Brig. Gen. Joseph Arguelles, acting district director of the Southern Police District, said, “This arrest is a result of precise intelligence, timely coordination, and the prompt execution of our operatives. The apprehension of a newly identified High-Value Individual and the seizure of a significant quantity of illegal drugs is a major step forward in our anti-drug campaign.”
