SAN PABLO CITY, Laguna – A 39-year-old farmer was stabbed to death in Barangay San Cristobal, this city, on Saturday, May 24.

Police identified the victim as Ruel Angelica.
Investigation said the victim was on his way home when the suspect, Jeffrey, a neighbor, appeared and stabbed him.
The suspect, who was wearing black pants, black T-shirt, and a black and red cap, fled and the victim was brought to a hospital where he was declared dead.
Follow-up investigation and manhunt operation are ongoing.
Meanwhile, a 35-year-old man was found dead under a bridge in Sitio Piit, Barangay Calo, Lobo, Batangas on Saturday.
Police identified the victim as Alvin Gupo.
Investigation said Gupo was last seen alive lying on top of a concrete barrier beside a bridge on Friday before his body was discovered at about 9:30 a.m.
Police are conducting further investigation.
Meanwhile, a tricycle driver and laborer drowned in the sea of Batangas on Saturday.
Police identified the victims as Guillermo, 67, tricycle driver, and Kim Carlo, 28, construction worker.
Guillermo decided to take a dip during a drinking session with friends in a beach resort in the town of San Juan.
The victim was later on found floating on the seashore and he was taken to a hospital in the municipality where he was declared dead.
Kim Carlo swam in a deep part of the sea in Calatagan and was then found unconscious.
He was taken by co-workers to a hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.
