- 36 beauties from all over the archipelago form part of this year's Binibining Pilipinas candidates.
Wearing bright pink swimsuits, the 36 beauties wowed those present with their pasarelas.
They also drew oohs and aahs in the beautiful gowns created for them by designers of their choice.
To make the press presentation even more exciting the ladies faced judges Dani Barretto, founder and CEO of Wellness Whispers and Badette Cunanan, Manila Bulletin's public relations manager, to determine who will make it to the semi-final round.
The event was hosted by Wize Estabillo (Showtime Online U and PGT Exclusives), together with Binibining Pilipinas International titleholder Myrna Esguerra, and Jasmin Bungay.
P-pop group KAIA also graced the event.
In an interview, Myrna shared her insights on what the judges are looking for.
"Binibining Pilipinas is really looking for someone who’s being herself, enjoying every moment while she’s on stage, and giving the best smile she could give. I saw some of that in a few of the Binibinis, and I’m just really excited. A lot of them are really having fun,” she said.
This year's batch includes some familiar faces like 2023 runner-up Katrina Anne Johnson from Davao and 2022 finalist Anne De Mesa from Batangas.
"Joining Binibining Pilipinas has always been my dream and I'm happy with my performance. I'm just so grateful right now," Anne said.
Also joining them in this year's pageant is 2023 Miss Tourism Metropolitan Jeanette Reyes from Batangas City, 2023 Miss Charm first runner-up Annabelle McDonnell from Iligan City, and 2022 Miss Eco Teen International first runner-up Beatriz Abalajon from Aklan.
As for the first-timers, Jemille Rustia Zosa, representing Mandaluyong, shared how happy she is to share the stage with her co-candidates.
“I think we were able to put up a good show,” she said.
Being the youngest among the candidates, Rahda Marie Cabug, from District 2, Las Piñas, shared that she learned a lot from her Binibini journey.
"I think this is a great opportunity to learn especially since everyone around me is professional and successful in their respective careers," she said.
Fans will also have the opportunity to see the contenders in person at a fashion show set on May 28 at the Lagoon of Gateway Mall 2 at the Araneta City, and the Grand Parade of Beauties on June 7.
The Binibining Pilipinas 2025 Coronation Night will be held June 15 at the Araneta Coliseum.
