In its latest weather forecast, PAGASA highlighted the impact of these two weather systems on various parts of the country.
The ITCZ, PAGASA said, is currently affecting the Visayas, Mindanao, and Palawan, bringing cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms throughout the day.
The state weather bureau also warned residents in these areas to remain vigilant, as moderate to heavy rainfall may cause flash floods or landslides, especially in flood-prone and mountainous regions.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon are expected to experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to prevailing easterlies.
Although rainfall in these areas is generally light, severe thunderstorms may still trigger flash floods or landslides in vulnerable locations, PAGASA said.
