Las Pinas LGU distributes unclaimed senior citizens' financial aid

The city government of Las Pinas distributed the unclaimed financial aid to senior citizens whose birthdays fall in the months of February and March.
Newly-elected Mayor April Aguilar personally supervised the smooth distribution of financial aid to 39 senior citizens, benefiting P10,000 each, last May 20.
Aguilar said the payout held at the Las Pinas Café located at the Las Pinas City Hall grounds was also attended by the Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA) head, Dr. Esther Oliveros, and representatives from the National Commission of Senior Citizens (NCSC) to ensure the orderly distribution of financial aid.
She said the program focused on disbursing financial assistance to octogenarians and nonagenarians who reached the milestone ages of 80, 85, 90, and 95.
The mayor-elect offered words of encouragement and expressed her gratitude to the senior citizens for their valuable contribution to the community during the activity.
Aguilar said the initiative is an ongoing commitment of the city government to uplifting the lives of senior citizens by recognizing their needs and extending timely support
