Acer broadened its horizons at COMPUTEX 2025 with a suite of non-computing innovations that signal a strategic shift toward lifestyle technology, health-focused wearables, and smart mobility solutions. The announcements spotlighted a new direction for the company, long known for its PCs and monitors, as it ventures deeper into AI-powered personal devices and connected ecosystems.
Acer showcases AI-powered wearables and smart mobility tech at COMPUTEX 2025
Acer Gadget, a subsidiary of Acer Inc., introduced two notable wearable devices. The Acer FreeSense Ring, built from lightweight titanium alloy, is designed to deliver continuous biometric tracking, including heart rate, heart rate variability, blood oxygen levels, and sleep patterns. Data collected by the ring is processed by a companion app that generates AI-driven health insights, encouraging users to make proactive lifestyle choices. With no subscription required for full data access, the FreeSense Ring positions itself as a practical yet premium daily wellness tool.
Also debuting was the Acer AI TransBuds, a pair of compact earbuds capable of real-time, two-way voice translation in 15 major languages. The TransBuds simplify multilingual conversations by requiring only one user to wear the device, making them ideal for business travel, remote education, or international collaboration. The earbuds also offer live captioning and transcription features, enhancing accessibility and communication in both casual and professional settings.
On mobility, Acer showcased several e-scooters and e-bikes that blend performance with smart connectivity. The Predator ES Storm and Predator ES Thunder scooters come equipped with motors ranging from 400 to 500 watts and offer adaptive braking and suspension systems. These models are complemented by app-based monitoring features accessible via the Acer eMobility App. Acer also highlighted its eScooter Series 4 and Series 5 Select, which cater to urban commuters seeking efficient and tech-integrated travel options. Rounding out the segment was the Predator eRanger, a fat-tire electric bike that first debuted at the Taipei Cycle Show earlier this year, aimed at outdoor and off-road enthusiasts.
In addition, Acer launched three 5G network solutions to meet the rising demand for high-speed mobile connectivity. The Acer Connect X6E Plus 5G CPE supports Wi-Fi 6E and global 5G compatibility through eSIM, Nano SIM, and vSIM options. It also features NFC touch-to-connect for seamless pairing. For users who need connectivity on the move, the Acer Connect M4 Mobile Wi-Fi hotspot offers up to 28 hours of battery life, rugged IP68 certification, and the ability to connect 16 devices simultaneously. Completing the lineup is the Acer Connect D5 Pro 5G Dongle, a portable plug-and-play solution offering download speeds up to 3.2 Gbps, low-latency performance, and enterprise-grade security protocols.
By branching into AI wearables, 5G devices, and e-mobility, Acer is signaling a broader commitment to integrated digital lifestyles. These new categories not only diversify its product portfolio but also reinforce the company's ambition to lead in emerging sectors where AI, mobility, and health intersect.
