- The inaugural Music Awards Japan 2025 was organized by the Japan Culture and Entertainment Industry Promotion Association (CEIPA).
The winners of the inaugural Music Awards Japan 2025 were announced in ceremonies held on May 21 and 22 at the Rohm Theater in Kyoto, Japan.
Organized by the Japan Culture and Entertainment Industry Promotion Association (CEIPA), the Music Awards Japan 2025 is an “international music awards with winners chosen by 5,000 music industry professionals,” according to its website.
The Artist of the Year went to Mrs. Green Apple while the Song of the Year was awarded to “Bling-Bang-Bang-Born" by Creepy Nuts.
Megan Thee Stallion’s “Neva Play (feat. RM of BTS)” won the Best of Listeners' Choice: International Song Powered By Spotify.
K-pop girl group Aespa’s “Supernova” received the Best Song Asia Award.
For the special awards, Filipino rock band Lola Amour’s “Raining in Manila” won the Philippine Popular Music and K-pop boy band Seventeen’s “God of Music” bagged the Korean Popular Music.
NewJeans’ “Ditto” grabbed the Best K-pop Song in Japan award.
