Over P3.4M shabu seized in QC buy-bust op

A total of P3,438,760 worth of shabu was seized from a high-value individual (HVI) during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Tandang Sora, Quezon City, on Thursday, May 22.

The Quezon City Police District-Drug Enforcement Unit (QCPD-DEU) operatives identified the suspect as “Abdul,” 22, a resident of Barangay Culiat, Quezon City.

The operation was conducted at around 2:55 p.m. on Thursday, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Unit Agency - National Capital Region (PDEA-NCR) and Talipapa Police Station (PS 3) DEU.

Based on the police report, the suspect was arrested after a police officer posed as a buyer and successfully bought P41,000 worth shabu from the suspect, which led to his arrest.

Police recovered 505.7 grams of shabu and other drug paraphernalia.

Abdul was charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
