Mission failed!: Robbers panic, botch own heist in Antipolo

Two motorcycle-riding robbers panicked and fled empty-handed after crashing into a tricycle while attempting to escape with their loot in Antipolo, Rizal on Thursday, May 23.

CCTV footage showed the robbers crashing into a tricycle after snatching a handbag from its owner.

Before they were able to escape again, a motorcycle rider blocked their path, preventing them from hopping back on their stolen scooter. This forced them to flee on foot, leaving behind both the stolen motorcycle and the bag.

Witnesses said the suspects thought the rider who blocked them was a cop wearing civilian clothing, causing them to run in fear.

The stolen vehicle and the bag were returned to their respective owners. A manhunt is now underway to apprehend the suspects.
