Man on his way home shot dead in Quezon

SARIAYA, Quezon – A 33-year-old man was gunned down on his way home from a store in Sitio Lagnas, Barangay Lutucan Malabag, this town, on Wednesday night, May 21.
Police identified the victim as Edison.
Investigation said Edison was shot with a pistol by a man wearing jersey short and blue shirt and face covering.
The suspect fled and the victim died from multiple bullet wounds.
Police are conducting follow-up investigation.
Laborer killed in collision
CALAUAG, Quezon – A 29-year-old laborer was killed and his companions were injured after the tricycle they were riding in collided with a refrigerated van in Barangay Viñas here on Wednesday morning.
Police identified the victim as Arvin.
Investigation said Arvin was riding a tricycle driven by Michael with another passenger Daniel, 28, onboard when the van driven by Elmer Clerigo, 49, suddenly occupied their lane in a curved part of the highway, resulting in a collision.
Victims sustained injuries and were taken to a hospital where Arvin was declared dead.
Police apprehended Clerigo who faces cases of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide, physical injuries, and damage to property.
