The luxury van segment is definitely heating up with yet another new entry that is daring to fight it out in this fiercely competitive segment. That new vehicle is the Zeekr 009.
This new model is a fully-electric boardroom on wheels, promising comfort, performance, cutting-edge technology, zero emissions, and safety. The Zeekr 009 is offered in two variants: the 7-seater Lounge and the 6-seater Executive.
The Zeekr 009 is characterized by its boxy silhouette. Despite this, it boasts of low-drag and optimized aerodynamics. It’s easy to spot from a far thanks to its slim LED signature lighting that also illuminates its grille, and full-width LED taillights behind.
Inside, it features a fully-digital instrument cluster for the driver, a massive 15.05-inch touchscreen OLED display for infotainment, and a 17-inch ceiling-mounted OLED display for rear passengers. It’s supported by a 3000W, 30-speaker Yamaha surround sound system with Dolby Atmos.
The second row comes standard with Sofaro First-Class Airline Seats that offer up to 16-way seat adjustments. They also include headrest speakers, built-in heating or ventilation, massage functions, and Zeekr’s exclusive "Healthy Stress Relief" system.
The van also ensures privacy with privacy glass, rear-seat sunshades, and magnetic covers for in-car cameras.
Propelling the vehicle is a dual motor (front and rear) drive system that delivers a total combined output of 788-PS and 810-Nm of torque. It’s also one of the fastest vans ever, with a 0 to 100 km/h sprint done in just 3.9 seconds.
Powering the motors is a 108 kWh 5C Qilin battery that gives it a range of up to 702-km (CLTC cycle). It’s also built on a 800V architecture that allows rapid recharging (if hooked up to a compatible charger) from 10% to 80% state of charge in as little as 11.5 minutes.
Besides the luxurious seats, the Zeekr 009 also promises a lofty ride with its dual-chamber air suspension and CCD electromagnetic dampers for precise body control and dynamic handling. That is further enhanced as the 009 uses LiDAR sensors and the front camera to detect road imperfections and rapidly adjust the suspension within milliseconds to ensure a smooth ride.
Finally, the Zeekr is also packed with safety features like a body structure made of high-strength steel, seven airbags, and an expansive list of ADAS features for all-around protection.
The Zeekr 009 is priced at P4,199,000 for the seven-seater variant and P4,399,000 for the six-seater. Its official distributor, Autohub Group is offering a special introductory price of P3,999,000 for the seven-seater and exclusive downpayment terms valid until the end of June. Autohub Group offers a eight-year warranty for the high-voltage battery, and 24/7 emergency assistance for buyers of the luxury MPV.
