'Kadiwa ng Pangulo' opens at Camp Karingal for QCPD members

The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) launched the “Kadiwa ng Pangulo” (KNP) at Camp Karingal in Sikatuna Village on Thursday, May 22, to provide affordable and fresh produce to its personnel. 
 Col. Randy Glenn Silvio, QCPD officer-in-charge (OIC) and deputy district director for administration, led the event in front of the DMFB building. It was attended by the division chief of the Marketing Development Division, Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Service (AMAS) of the Department of Agriculture, Joyce Mojica Bengo.

Bengo underscored the historical and economic significance of the Kadiwa initiative, which aims to ensure food security while supporting local farmers. 
She added that it will strengthen the partnership between the DA and the Philippine National Police (PNP) in providing police personnel and their families direct access to affordable fresh farm goods.
The initiative offers government-subsidized goods at lower prices as part of efforts to promote inclusive economic growth, food sustainability, and the welfare of frontline workers. 
The collaboration between DA, PNP, and various stakeholders ensures both the livelihood of Filipino farmers and the well-being of law enforcers.
Silvio said the program supports the local agriculture while giving the police force better access to basic needs. 
“We are proud to bring this closer to our personnel and their families,” the police official added.
