Following the latest elections, the Chief Executive made a bold call for all cabinet secretaries to offer their courtesy resignations to help refocus his administration.
“President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s directive urging all Cabinet secretaries to submit their courtesy resignations underscores his firm commitment to fast-track projects that uplift the lives of Filipinos,” Aguda said in a statement.
“We stand by the President and serve at his pleasure. I will file my courtesy resignation,” he added.
Despite the move, Aguda assured the public that the DICT remains committed to its responsibilities.
“The DICT will continue to work to deliver the President’s mandate for the Filipino people,” he said.
Aguda was appointed as DICT chief in March, succeeding Ivan John Uy, who resigned earlier that month.
