On May 18, thousands of advocates, families, and individuals on the autism spectrum came together, filling the SM Mall of Asia Arena with a profound sense of solidarity for the culminating leg of the ASP Angels Walk for Autism 2025.
Spearheaded by the Autism Society Philippines (ASP), in collaboration with SM Cares, the event marked the year’s most significant gathering championing acceptance, accommodation, and appreciation for individuals on the autism spectrum.
Multiple stops
The ASP Angels Walk for Autism 2025 toured several SM malls across the country, bringing communities together in a shared commitment to inclusivity and support for individuals on the spectrum.
The walk also highlighted memorable moments from its previous legs nationwide, celebrating the diverse ways local communities have embraced and empowered individuals with autism.
Each stop reflected unique expressions of inclusion, showcasing the collective effort to build a more accepting society.
The MOA Arena leg served as the grand culmination, bringing together the movement’s inspiring momentum in a heartfelt and powerful celebration.
This year’s walk held special significance as it coincided with SM Supermalls’ 40th anniversary—a celebration of four decades dedicated to inclusion and community empowerment.
Call for a more accessible, accepting society
Attendees experienced inspiring performances and appearances by individuals on the autism spectrum, advocacy leaders, and special guests—each amplifying the call for a more inclusive and accepting society.
From compelling stories to the electric energy of the crowd, the event radiated the true essence of inclusion—celebrating unity, diversity, and the ongoing push for a more accessible world.
“ASP Angels Walk for Autism reminds us that inclusion is not just an advocacy—it’s a commitment we must live every day,” said SM Supermalls President Steven Tan.
Building on this year’s success, SM Cares and ASP reaffirmed their unwavering dedication to inclusive programs—not just during Autism Acceptance Month, but as a daily commitment to fostering a more accepting and accessible society.
“This year’s walk showed how far we’ve come and how much stronger we are when we walk together,” said Autism Society Philippines Chair Emerita Dang Koe.
