PDEA: P3.4M worth of shabu seized, top drug suspect nabbed in Cotabato City ops

Government anti-narcotics agents seized around P3.4 million worth of shabu on Tuesday, May 20, following the arrest of a high-value target (HVT) suspect during a buy-bust operation in Cotabato City, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) stated.
PDEA Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) Regional Office Director Gil Cesario Castro said that the suspect alias “Jabbar/ Moktar’’ was nabbed at 039 Al-Salam Street, Rosary Heights 3 during the operation.
Aside from the more or less 500 grams of shabu concealed in 10 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets, authorities also confiscated one gray Mitsubishi Mirage, bank/financial documents, various identification cards and the buy-bust money.
“This accomplishment reflects the sustained commitment of law enforcement agencies and the local government unit (LGU) to curb the proliferation of illegal drugs and maintain peace and order in the region,”Castro noted.
Alias “Jabbar/Moktar’’ is now under the custody of the PDEA BARMM Jail Facility and now faces charges for violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165, or the “The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.’’
