The Department of Agriculture started distributing the much-awaited P20-per-kilo rice to the residents of Rizal Province.
The P20-per-kilo of rice are available on limited stocks today, May 22, at the Barangay Sta. Cruz covered court in Antipolo from 8 a.m. onwards.
However, only the target beneficiaries may avail the budget-friendly rice. They are the 4 Ps beneficiaries, senior citizens, solo parents, and persons with disability, who are residing in Antipolo City or any part of Rizal Province.
The buyer, also, should present a valid ID showing their membership in the sector of which they belong to, with their address in any part of Rizal Province.
In his post on his social media page, Mayor Casimiro “Junjun” Ynares III reminded the beneficiaries to bring their own bags that can carry the maximum of 5 kilos of rice per ID holder.
They are also encouraged to bring an exact amount of P100 if they will be buying five kilos.
With the start of the distribution of the more affordable rice in the city, Mayor Ynares has expressed his gratitude to Pres. Ferdinand Marcos , Jr. and the DA, saying the move will benefit the vulnerable sectors in Antipolo City.
