President Marcos has met the cast, director, and producers of the upcoming international film "The Last Resort" which was set in the Philippines.

Marcos met the film's cast and crew during their courtesy call at the Malacañan Palace on Wednesday, May 21.
The cast and crew were led by the film's director Donald Petrie and actors—Daisy Ridley, Alden Ehrenreich, Sam Neill, Beck Bennett, and Dylan Menor.
The President conveyed his excitement for the film and thanked the production for coming to the country.
"I am so happy that now that you are in fact here and the work has started and it's all terribly exciting for all of us and thank you for coming to the Philippines," he said during the meeting.
He also expressed hopes that the movie would help project the country into the world.
"Hopefully helping us project the Philippines out into the world, the way Filipinos see our own country and it's a country we're very very proud of —the people are even prouder of. I hope you get that on the time you are here" he said.
The romantic comedy film stars Star Wars actors Daisy Ridley and Alden Ehrenreich. The film is backed by business magnate Manuel V. Pangilinan as executive producer, along with producers Ernesto “Bong” Sta. Maria Jr. and Raja Collins.
The film was written by Karen McCullah.
