Man arrested for sextortion in Quezon

GENERAL NAKAR, Quezon – Police arrested a 19-year-old man for extorting money from an 18-year-old woman in exchange for not releasing her alleged sex videos here on Tuesday, May 20.
Investigation said the suspect Jade demanded P5,000 from the victim Neca through messaging in exchange for not posting the lewd materials on social media.
Police said the victim received numerous messages, nude pictures, and videos as proof of his possession.
The victim filed a complaint with the police who conducted an entrapment operation that resulted in the arrest of the suspect while receiving the money through a popular mobile payment service.
Recovered from the suspect were five P1,000 bills and a cellular phone.
The suspect faces cybercrime and robbery-extortion charges. He is in the custody of the local police.
