Designed to turn heads
The all-new PCX160 shows off a new look with new LED headlight and taillight designs. It also comes with a new handlebar cover for a cleaner, more integrated look. The new foot area boasts of an extended footboard for more room, greater comfort, and improved riding stability. Other exterior upgrades include a premium 3D emblem and a new selection of colors.
Smooth performance
Powering the PCX160 is a 157cc, four-valve, liquid-cooled eSP+ Engine, delivering smooth, responsive acceleration with a refined performance. It’s paired with a CVT transmission that returns effortless takeoff and throttle response, perfect for city traffic or open roads.
Another improvement is the front-mounted fuel tank with lid. By repositioning it here, riders can now refuel without dismounting or lifting the seat.
To help save fuel, it also comes with an Idling Stop System (ISS). This technology automatically shuts off the engine when stationary to save fuel and reduce emissions, then restarts effortlessly as you twist the throttle. With this feature, it boasts of fuel efficiency of up to 46.0 km/L (based on WMTC testing).
Improved safety
The PCX160 also has a number of upgrades to improve its safety. Braking performance was one highlight, with strong, stable stopping power on both front and rear wheels.
Honda has added a hazard lamp switch to offer added safety in unexpected stops or roadside situations.
It also comes with a Honda Smart Key System. This gives the rider full keyless convenience with built-in anti-theft alarm, immobilizer, and Answer Back system.
To top it all off, there’s a built-in USB Type-C charger for fast device charging on the go. For convenience, there’s a 30-liter luggage box under the seat which is big enough to carry daily essentials or weekend gear.
Tech-driven convenience
The PCX160 is now offered with a new variant, the RoadSync variant. This model offers an even smarter ride. Among its exclusive features is a five-inch full-color TFT meter panel. This adaptable display syncs with your smartphone via the Honda RoadSync app available in leading app stores. It allows access to navigation, calls, and music through a multi-function switch on the handlebar.
The RoadSync variant offers a smoother ride with a new rear suspension with sub-tank. This special suspension offers enhanced damping for a smoother ride.
As for safety, it comes with ABS and Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) to add confidence and control. There’s also a passing light switch to easily flash the high-beam for improved visibility when overtaking or signaling.
Test ride
More than just a reveal, Honda offered those in attendance the chance to test ride the scooter and experience its upgraded features firsthand.
The smoother operation is evident from the start, with the engine start and idling barely even perceptible. It picks up speed quickly from a dead stop and easily reach city cruising speeds. Once up to speed, the extended floor board offered more comfort as riders can now position their feet further forward almost like a cruiser riding position.
Perhaps the best part of the test drive was a the handling course. The PCX160 RoadSync exhibited impressive agility, easily handling the tightest turns in the course. Its braking was a also exceptional, stopping within a very shot distance without locking up the wheels.

The all-new PCX160 is available in two variants that share the same strategic core engine and premium features. The Standard Variant (P133,400) offers value for money and everyday performance. It comes in Vortex Red Metallic, Pearl Fadeless White, and Matte Bullet Silver.
The RoadSync Variant (P154,900) comes with exclusive features like the Honda RoadSync, TFT meter panel, ABS, HSTC, and more. To distinguish it, it features a gold 3D emblem. It also has exclusive colors like Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic and Pearl Fadeless White.
The all-new Honda PCX160 is now available at all Honda 3S Shops nationwide.
