Boy dies after alleged circumcision in Tondo clinic; family seeks justice

A 10-year-old boy died after reportedly undergoing a circumcision procedure at a lying-in and medical clinic in Tondo, Manila.

According to the boy’s mother, Marjorie San Agustin, her son began experiencing complications soon after the procedure on May 17.

She said the family rushed the boy to a nearby hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival.

The family is demanding justice and accountability from the doctor who performed the procedure, a female physician whose identity has not yet been disclosed by authorities.

They are calling for a thorough investigation into the incident to determine whether there was negligence or malpractice involved.
The mother said an autopsy was conducted to determine the real cause of death.
As part of the ongoing probe, the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) is preparing to issue a subpoena to the doctor who performed the procedure.
