Reminders for jackpot winners
Under the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) Law, a 20 percent tax will automatically be deducted from the jackpot prize.
PCSO reminded winners that they must claim their prizes within one year from the draw date, as stipulated in its charter. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture, with the unclaimed prize redirected to the PCSO Charity Fund.
Winners are also advised to safeguard their tickets by writing their names and signatures on the back. The ticket must remain intact—without wrinkles, folds, or tears—to ensure its validity.
PCSO emphasized the importance of preserving the barcode, as it plays a critical role in ticket verification. The lotto terminal must be able to scan it for successful validation.
