Francisco “Isko Moreno" Domagoso has officially taken his oath of office as the newly elected Mayor of Manila in a ceremony administered by Supreme Court Associate Justice Antonio Kho, Jr.
Domagoso said the early completion of his oath-taking allows him to fully concentrate on more urgent matters concerning the city.
He stressed that his administration’s focus will be on addressing the needs of ordinary Manileños and implementing solutions to the pressing problems of the capital.
“Ito ang magiging direksiyon ng ating administrasyon (This will be the direction of our administration),” Moreno said, highlighting a governance style that prioritizes substance over spectacle.
He said he is committed to a city government that will not be extravagant in celebrations but will instead make prudent use of public funds. "Maingat na gugugulin ang pera ng bayan (carefully and responsibly use the people’s money)," he added.
Among his key priorities are ensuring a clean and safe environment, providing decent housing, improving the quality of education, upgrading public hospitals to modern standards, and creating dignified employment opportunities for Manila residents.
He emphasized that these reflect the “minimum basic needs ng bawat Manileño (minimum basic needs of every Manileño), which will serve as the foundation of his administration’s agenda.
