I was able to interview Chito when we co-hosted a big event in Davao recently, and I asked him how a BPO professional became the 'King of Bisaya Talk. Chito's journey is a testament to embracing one's roots and sharing them with the world.
“Before the vlogs, I was navigating the corporate maze as an American Accent Trainer and later as a Corporate Communications professional in various BPO companies. Picture me in a tie, teaching 'How now brown cow' with a Bisaya accent. Just kidding. You know us, Bisaya, English is our strong suit, but not Tagalog. Baliko na tayo diyan. I lived in Quezon City. My entire journey took me from the bustling streets of Manila to the serene beach vibes of Davao. Of course, I will choose Davao. This is my hometown, and there’s no place like home.
Chito's commitment to promoting the Bisaya dialect remains unwavering. Through his content, he continues to highlight the richness of Bisaya culture, encouraging others to embrace and celebrate their heritage.
With his growing influence and dedication to his craft, Chito stands as a testament to the power of authenticity and cultural pride in the digital age.
