Grammy-nominated K-pop group BTS member Jin met and interviewed Hollywood star Tom Cruise.

Cruise, who visited South Korea to promote his movie “Mission: Impossible-The Final Reckoning,” became a guest on the “Run Jin” web show on BTS’ YouTube channel, Bangtan TV.

The video was uploaded on May 20 in which Jin said, “Today, we're gonna do something a little more special.”

The first question Jin asked Cruise was, “Do you know BTS?”

“Yes,” said Cruise. “I know BTS. We all know BTS.”

“Guys, Tom Cruise knows BTS,” Jin said.

“First of all, I just wanna say congratulations. Your band and your career, and what you've created it's very impressive And I'm a big fan. I'm very happy to be here, to be on your show right now,” the Hollywood star said.

Jin remembered that when he turned 15, the first move he saw was “Mission: Impossible.”

“That’s what I remember. And having him today on this show is such an honor,” said Jin.

This was the Cruise’s 12th time to visit South Korea.

Cruise said he was impressed by the Korean people, culture and food.

“Always the people of Korea. Always, from the moment that I first came here is how impressive it is, the culture. The people are incredible The history of Korea, of course. I very much enjoy the food And also, they love movies They make great films here. I always love coming to bring a movie here, to entertain. And the music, of course. It's all part of the culture what you've done, and I greatly admire it,” said Cruise.

Cruise said whenever he visits Korea, he feels the great energy of the fans.

“I feel energized being in this culture, being here. When I landed yesterday, I spent time... People were there at the airport They were waiting a long time. It's beautiful. And I went, I go to this place and I go eat barbecue chicken. I like the Korean barbecue chicken. So everyone is so energetic and so warm and friendly. I love it, I absolutely love it,” he said.

Jin asked him about behind-the-scenes stories while filming the "Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning.”

“Many. Look, this movie took seven years. And those sequences took years to develop. Very very complicated, very technical The mask we had developed The whole sequence was incredibly dangerous to do. It took years to build the water tanks and build the sets The final sequence, the aerial sequence. I fly the aerobatic airplanes, I fly jets I fly helicopters. All of that, aerobatics. I'm a parachutist. So all of these things to come up with and figure out what kind of airplane, how to do the sequence, we're actually inventing knowledge when we're doing these things,” he said.

Jin also asked him about the wing-walking scene in the movie.

“The stuff that you're seeing with the wing-walking has never been done before. I didn't know physically what it would take. Within five minutes it was like the hardest weight workout you've ever done. Ever. I really had to improve my power to be able to do it. The wind is so hard that when you step out of the cockpit it hits you so hard that it's hard to breathe. It's going so fast. The kind of training that I had to do surprised me. I had to change my whole training regime. It was definitely the most challenging action I've ever done,” said Cruise.

At the end of the interview, Cruise said, “I'm just very happy to be here. Thank you for always allowing me to entertain you.”
