SM Foundation wins Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards for innovative communication

SM Foundation garnered international recognition for its inventive communication strategies, securing two accolades at the 2025 Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards in Seoul, South Korea, because of its dedication to using compelling narratives to promote social progress. 

SM Foundation was honored with the Silver Stevie Award for Innovation in Community Relations or Public Service Communications and the Bronze Stevie Award for Innovation in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Videos. 

The Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards, which celebrate business innovation across 29 markets in the region, annually acknowledge organizations demonstrating outstanding performance and creativity in diverse areas, including corporate communications and sustainability.

SM Investments Senior Assistant Vice President for Corporate Affairs and Sustainability Victor Chan, who accepted the awards on behalf of SM Foundation Executive Director Debbie Sy, said that these awards emphasize how effective development communications can be in promoting social good. 

He noted that SM Foundation believes in the power of development communications to share stories that uplift, connect, and inspire. 

“It’s through these stories of hope that we’re able to bring people together—across sectors and communities—to spark collective action and sustainable change," Chan added. 

He further noted that this recognition is dedicated to the communities that continue to inspire their work and to their partners in social good who help turn purpose into progress.

These recent achievements, which occurred at the 2025 Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards in Seoul, South Korea, where the SM Foundation communications team was represented by SM Investments Senior AVP Victor Persius Chan and Asst. Communications Manager Rheza Candelaria, build upon SM Foundation’s increasing recognition for its development communication endeavors. The foundation utilizes storytelling, multimedia, and strategic messaging to amplify its advocacies in health, education, disaster response, livelihood, and agriculture.
