The No. 1 most wanted person in Pateros, who is facing a criminal case for illegal drugs, was arrested in Laguna on May 19.
The Pateros police identified the suspect as alias Mabao, 47, a farmer and resident of Barangay Sta. Ana, Pateros.
The operation was carried out by the Pateros Police Warrant Section in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.
Mabao was apprehended after being served a warrant of arrest, with no bail recommended, issued by Presiding Judge Joy Casihan-Dumlao of the Pasig Regional Trial Court Branch 262 for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
Brig. Gen. Joseph Arguelles, acting district director of the Southern Police District, said. “This arrest marks a significant victory in our campaign against illegal drugs and criminality. The dedication and professionalism of our team reflect the values and resolve of the Pateros Police to protect our community. We will continue to work tirelessly to ensure a safer Pateros for all.”
