Fire breaks out in Sta. Mesa, Manila; raised to 4th alarm

A fire hit a residential area along Anonas Street, Road 12 in Sta. Mesa, Manila, on Monday afternoon, May 19.
According to initial reports of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the fire quickly spread to nearby adjacent houses and was raised to the third alarm as of 4 p.m.
It was escalated to a fourth alarm at 4:30 p.m.
Firefighters managed to bring the situation under control and fully extinguished the fire by 7 p.m.
According to initial reports, two minors have been reported missing.
Authorities have not yet released the identities of the missing individuals, and it remains unclear whether there were additional injuries.
Residents in the area were evacuated for safety, and nearby roads were temporarily closed to allow fire trucks access.
Motorists and commuters were advised to avoid the area as response efforts continue.
